Fate of the Earth | March 21, Kellogg Center
Annual research symposium featuring a series of lectures, workshops and student poster presentations that explore the challenges and opportunities we face in enhancing human well-being while protecting the environment.

Earth Hour | March 27, 12 pm
On March 27, from 12-1 pm, the MSU community is asked to turn off non-essential lights to encourage sustainable practices on campus. Earth Hour depends on all of us to present a clear message of solidarity to protect our world’s biodiversity, communities, and natural environments.


MSU Science Festival Begins | April 1
The MSU Science Festival returns in 2020 with over 250 activities for the MSU community to engage with science in fun and creative ways.  


MSU Science Festival Expo Zone | April 4, Biomedical Physical Sciences and Chemistry Bldgs
Visit the Expo Zone during the MSU Science Festival for hands-on STEM activities for the entire family to enjoy. Engage with nearly 70 interactive exhibits all day long. In addition to the Expo, stop by demonstrations and talks throughout the day.


Solve Climate by 2030: Solutions for Michigan Webinar | April 7, Hannah Administration
MSU is the designated host for the state of Michigan for the national Solve Climate by 2030 Initiative, led by Bard College. Each state will simultaneously host a webinar on climate solutions for their state. Hear from leaders in Michigan on three ambitious but feasible ideas to solve climate by 2030. 


MSU Science Festival Take a Tour Day | April 18
Thirty tours are being offered during the MSU Science Festival's take a tour day. Explore the Bug House, Butterfly Garden, Bailey Greenhouse, Baker Woodlot, MSU Recycling Center, Anerobic Digester and more. 


MSU Global Day of Service | April 18
Every year in April, as part of the Spartans Serve initiative, there is a Global Day of Service to harness the power of this spirit of service and demonstrate what Spartans can do in a single day. Sign-up for one of the many volunteer opportunities in the Greater Lansing area. 


Kickoff Walk East Meets West Workplace Walking Challenge | April 20, Wells Hall Courtyard
Join MSU Sustainability, Health4U, SPARTANfit Fitness & Wellness Program, and Recreational Sports & Fitness Services for a river trail walk to kickoff the Workplace Walking Challenge at MSU. Details coming soon. This event is part of the MSU Spring Forward for Sustainable Health Initiative.


US Green Business Council Townhall and Technical Workshop | April 21, Breslin Center
USGBC President and CEO Mahesh Ramanujam will address Michigan leaders at the Town Hall's Executive Breakfast. The Technical Workshop will highlight LEED credits for Operations and Maintenance.
